An improved authentication module is available to replace the sasauth module for SAS 9.4M5 on 64-bit Linux.
The replacement module is available via a hot fix. Replacement of the original sasauth module is optional.
The new module is multi-threaded to reduce latency when multiple simultaneous authentication requests are made to SAS® server processes, such as SAS® Metadata Server or the SAS® Object Spawner.

A new authentication module has been created to replace sasauth for SAS 9.4M5 on 64-bit Linux. The multi-threaded module provides faster response to authentication requests.
